Photo exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Admiral Sergey Gorshkov

On July 23rd was opened a photo exhibition, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the admiral of the USSR fleet Sergey Groshkov – commander-in-chief of the USSR Navy from 1956 to 1985 and an honorary citizen of Varna. The exhibition was prepared with the special participation of specialists from the Naval museum, on the concept of the Common Ukrainian association of the veterans – submarine men and with the assistance of Varna Municipality. The exhibition was opened in the General Consulate of the Russian federation, on the eve of the feast of the Russian Navy – July 25th .

The submerged Russian destroyer “Lieutenant Pushchin” was found in Bulgarian waters

The scientific submarine expedition with the participation of the Naval Forces, diving club Friends & Diving, , the Naval museum and the Institute of oceanology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences determined that the ship remains at the sea bottom East of cape Ilandjik belong to the submerged during the First World War Russian destroyer „Lieutenant Pushchin”.More...


The museum opened its outdoor exposition

On August 2nd in the Naval museum was officially opened the restored outdoor exposition. This happened on the eve and on the occasion of the feast of the Naval forces – August 8th . It can be visited by citizens free of charge from August 2nd to August 8th from 10.00 h. to 18.00.h. More...
